My Story
Hello! My name is Emmanuel Hamutiki, a proud Zambian citizen, 21 years old. I was born in a small village called Kabanze, in Mapanza District, Choma. Growing up, I was surrounded by the beauty of nature and the strength of community values that taught me resilience, kindness, and determination.
As I grew older, I discovered my passion for learning, which led me to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering at the Information and Communication University. This academic journey has broadened my horizons and equipped me with valuable skills that I’m eager to apply in real world challenges.
But my path has not been without struggles. In 2015, when I was in Grade 5, I began experiencing unexpected health issues. Tremors developed in my left hand, making simple tasks more difficult. Over time, I also noticed weakness in my right hand, especially when writing, which added new challenges to my daily life.
By 2019, the symptoms worsened, and I sought medical guidance. I underwent several tests, including MRI scans of the brain and cervical spine. Unfortunately, the results weren’t always conclusive, even though the tremors and weakness were clearly present. This period was filled with uncertainty, but it also strengthened my determination.
Living with tremors is not easy, but it has taught me the value of resilience, patience, and perseverance. Despite the challenges, I remain committed to my education and to achieving my goals. My condition has not stopped me — it has motivated me to find new ways to adapt, learn, and move forward with courage.
Through this website, I want to share not only my journey but also create a platform where others living with tremors can find knowledge, support, and encouragement. My dream is to inspire people to see that challenges don’t define us — they push us to grow stronger and pursue our full potential.
If you are reading this and facing tremors or any personal struggle, I want you to know this: you are not alone, and you are stronger than you think. With determination and hope, we can rise above our challenges and create a brighter future.
